Tony Serjeant is the Senior Wildlife Conservation Officer for the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.  He has worked as a professional ecologist for over 25 years and has held a bat licence for most of this time.  Tony says: “Bats are much maligned yet fascinating creatures.  Studies are revealing many interesting and surprising things about the way the make a living.  The Yorkshire Dales supports key populations and the health of these gives us an insight into the state of our countryside and its wildlife.” Come and find out more about these amazing animals, their place in nature and what you can do to help them to thrive.
