Walk: Yockenthwaite Buckden circuit

Hello everyone – Our Field Society walk is a circular walk from BUCKDEN, via YOCKENTHWAITE, about 7.5 miles, with 900ft. ascent. Beginning steeply out of Buckden, northwards via Rakes Wood, along Buckden Rake to join the B6160 at Cray Hill Bridge, on down to the White Lion. Then westwards along the hills north of the River Wharfe to reach Yockenthwaite and follow the Dales Way back to Buckden.
If some walkers would like to join us and take a shorter version, about 5 miles, Heide is prepared to lead the descent to Hubberholme from Scar House Farm, to return to Buckden via the Dales Way as above.
Depart Colvend 09.30, and Buckden main car park 10.00 (parking fees due).
