Good afternoon and a Happy New Year
Always mindful of the safety of our members, and the perilous Covid/Omicron situation, the Committee
has decided to hold the January lectures on Zoom.
10 January – The Raistrick Lecture, presented by John Helm:
‘Conserving Grassington Lead Mines for future investigation’.
24 January – ‘Bee Project’, presented by Catherine Mercer.

I like to take to take this opportunity to ask for your maximum participation in these temporary
arrangements to not only support the Field Society, but moreover the eminent speakers.
Details of the venue for the February lectures will be reviewed later this month.
Please note that the New Year Lunch on Saturday 15 January and the trip to Gloucester in May 2022 have
been cancelled, but the New Year Walk on 15 January will go ahead
