Dedicated to Yorkshire’s history and archaeology.
Yorkshire Naturalist’s Union
UWFS is an affiliated society of the YNU, whose activities are intended for serious naturalists.
The Union:
- holds a number of outdoor field events across the country each year;
- organises an annual conference in Harrogate on a natural history theme;
- published a regular journal (the Naturalist) plus an annual ‘rare and scarce bird’ report for the country and an annual ‘butterfly and moth’ report.
These publications are available to borrow from the UWFS library.
