AM – Winskill with Tom Lord: http://www.lowerwinskill.co.uk/visit.htm

PM – Stackhouse

Lower Winskill is a working farm set in spectacular scenery overlooking Ribblesdale. Tom Lord farms it using traditional methods to encourage wildlife and protect the historic landscape.  He will show us round the buildings, tell us some of the history and take us to see some of the farmland and stone walls.

Please bring a packed lunch and we will be able to eat in one of the buildings. There will be hot water, tea, coffee and milk so there is no need to bring drinks for lunch.  There will be a very small charge for this which will also cover the costs of a small gift for Tom.  There are toilets available in one of the farm buildings.

After lunch we will have to condense cars in Giggleswick, as parking is very difficult, so no more than three vehicles when we visit the hamlet of Stackhouse on the other side of the river Ribble. From there those who would like to, can proceed to The Knights Table at Little Stainforth for maybe coffee and a sticky bun!

It would be an advantage to keep the numbers to less than 12, so please let the organiser know if you would like to come. Members should have received an email on 17 May.
