Walk: Thornton Steward Reservoir

This will be a circular walk from Thornton Steward reservoir, along the pretty Wensleydale valley, via Thornton Steward, Danby Hall, Ulshaw/Cover/Kilgram bridges – 8/9 miles.
Directions to start point: Map OS Explorer 302 Grid 182877:
Enter Middleham and leave on A6108 towards Jervaulx. One mile from Middleham turn left just before Cover Bridge, cross a humpbacked bridge and immediate right to pass Ulshaw Church. Just over one mile further, take the right fork which is Back Lane. This passes behind Thornton Steward in one mile, then take the next left, signposted Reservoir and Finghall.
Depart Colvend 09.30 and Thornton Steward reservoir car park 10.30.
