On April 30th a group of us met at Hubberholme where we walked alongside the river to Yockenthwaite before climbing up the valley side to return on a higher level to Cray, Finally we descended through the Fairy Glen and back to Hubberholme.On this walk we saw and identified a the large number of wild flowers ; bluebell, primrose, violet,cowslip,bugle, orchid , water aven.The real highlight of the walk was hearing the first cuckoo.
This farm is used in All Creatures Great and Small on Channel 5. It is where Helen the girlfriend/wife family lives.
