Field Society members are being asked by the University of York and British Arachnological Society to help to confirm if a particular spider still frequents Grass Wood. Last recorded from the wood in the 1980s, the Green Huntsman (Micrommata virescens) is one of only a handful of spiders in the UK that are green in colour, so if you come across a green spider while walking in Grass Wood, please take a picture if you can, and make a note of exactly where it was found in the wood. The associated PDF  replicates the details below should you want to print a reminder.
