Loading Calendar

An illustrated talk looking at the building materials and features of vernacular buildings in Craven and the Forest of Bowland. The buildings  will encompass those built with gritstone, limestone, red sandstone, and some cruck-framed buildings.  While the features shown will include decorative door heads, carved hood mould stops, storeyed porches, garde robes, window styles, gable weather walls, large arched fireplaces and stone troughs built of five slabs to name just a few!
