Local History: Conistone Cold

Pete and Peg have arranged for us to visit the Coniston Hotel, country estate and spa, for a talk about its history, and the opportunity for a walk in the grounds and around the lake. Coffee is on offer from 10:45, with the talk beginning around 11:15. The walk is approximately a mile and a half, and the grounds contain the remains of an older house.
Our hosts are requesting approximate numbers, as they may be able to supply transport for those who might find the walk too much.
Bar Bites are available for a lunch should you wish to indulge yourself.
So, if you would like to avail yourself of this interesting opportunity, please let us know ASAP so that the visit can go smoothly. We are not being asked to pay for the coffee or the talk etc, so Pete is going to make a discreet enquiry about any local charity for us to make a small donation – ie make sure you have some change!
