The Botany Group meets on alternate Tuesdays between April and August for a full day’s meeting. We choose sites locally and further afield to look at, hopefully identity and record all the plants that we see. We try to choose different habitats to increase our interest and knowledge.
Over the years we have done particular survey work for the UK Plant Atlas and the West Yorkshire Plant Atlas and this year are involved in surveys for the YDNP survey of rare and endangered species and are involved each year at the SSSI at Kilnsey Park.
New members are very welcome whether experienced botanists or beginners.
