Our walk on Saturday, 21st March will be led by Frances, a circular from Salterforth, near Barnoldswick. This is a 6.5mile walk via Greenfielfd Locks, Thornton and East Marton. The route uses the canal towpath, crosses some fields and stiles, and includes an uphill section.
Getting to Salterforth canalside car park at Salterforth Bridge – from Skipton take the A56, through Earby to the roundabout at Kelbrook. Turn RIGHT onto B6383 towards Barnoldswick. After about one mile, reach crossroads with bollards, just past a red telephone box. Turn LEFT towards Salterforth Garden Centre and Anchor Inn, the latter soon appears on the left. Turn RIGHT opposite the pub into the canalside car park at Salterforth Bridge (postcode BB18 5TT for satnavs).
