The Ornithology group meets on the third Thursday of each month, with the exception of July. Our programme of visits aims to be varied but we usually go to an RSPB or Wildlife Trust reserve. Our aim is to improve our recognition skills. We also take note of other fauna and flora that we come across.
Our members range from very experienced, particularly where bird song is concerned, to relative beginners or the just plain enthusiastic. Within this wide range we would welcome new members.
We meet at Colvend carpark to share transport at 8.30am bringing a picnic lunch, suitable footwear and waterproofs.
Members also record their own bird sightings annually and these should be passed to our recorder who passes them on to the YNU
